NEW BUISNESS
Fundamental Function opened on April 25, 2006 with
the concept of servicing its patrons with the highest
quality exercise training (evidence
based programs based on scientific principles)
at a reasonable price. The business was started
by Coach Joshua Severn who was a successful personal
trainer at a large fitness club for several years.
Coach Severn realized the quality of his training
was limited by the unpredictable environment of
the large venue. He was unable to serve his clients
with what he felt they deserved and paid for.
BIG GYM vs LITTLE GYM
The design of a member based club is to serve the
masses. (QUANTITY) The more members (monthly dues)
big clubs can squeeze in the door, the bigger their
bottom line. Unfortunately the random and sometimes
chaotic environment that results becomes increasingly
distracting, dangerous, and difficult to achieve
a quality training session, let alone an evidence
based program. Personal training in the member driven
club becomes about adapting, improvising, and ultimately
compromising. The purpose of member based gyms is
important because the general population needs a
place to workout and simply move. However, the fact
remains that squeeze gyms are not the ideal place
or for the serious client to receive optimal training
for their individual needs.
Fundamental Function is designed for the execution
of Optimal Performance Training programs without
exception. This facility’s equipment and resources
are exclusively dedicated to each individual and
their training needs throughout their entire program.
The controlled environment allows for the consistent
implementation of scientific principles to be applied
to all workouts. (QUALITY) This approach is pursued
by many, but few have the capacity and dedication
to perform these high quality programs. It is important
to keep in mind that the better the quality of the
training program the better quality of the RESULT! |
